I agree to the following:
- All my answers on this application are true and complete and I currently have the credentials represented in this application.
- Falsification, omission, or misrepresentation of fact on this application or any other accompanying documents may result in immediate termination of the relationship between PIIPA and myself and the organization I represent.
- PIIPA is not obliged to, but is permitted in its discretion to verify all credentials represented in this application and I give PIIPA consent to obtain such information.
- I submit my name personally, but doing so is consistent with my obligations as a representative or employee of the organization referred to in this form.
- I will act in accordance with the rules of conduct of all professional organizations, associations, and bars of which I am a member.
- Submission of this application only puts me on a list with other professionals and work may never result from this application.
- PIIPA may release my contact information to its applicants, members, collaborators, and donors; and they may contact me by any means (including phone, fax, mail, or email, but PIIPA will not sell its IP Corps list to third parties.
- By submitting this application I am volunteering to be considered for intellectual property related work and I indicate a willingness to independently consider any appropriate applicant who may contact me.
- If my application is accepted by PIIPA, I will become a member of PIIPA's IP Corps (at no charge to me unless otherwise notified) and my membership in the IP Corps can be terminated at any time and for any reason.
- If I accept representation of a PIIPA applicant, I will follow PIIPA's policy (i) on pro bono representation (currently 50 hours of service without charge or completion of a matter, whichever comes first), and (ii) teamwork (mulitspecialist and multinational teams of IP Corps members may be asked to collaborate in representing an organization in a particular project).
- I will not hold PIIPA or any of its members accountable or liable in any way for their role in this service.
